Beckon Entertainment is currently looking for interns for the Spring 2012 college semester. If you are passionate about music and working in the music industry this is a great place to learn more and get some real world experience.
Qualifications:
- Students must be registered for an internship for academic credit with their college or university, and must provide official documentation upon acceptance of this internship.
- Open to college students in their junior or senior year
- Must be available at least 3 days a week for 15 hours per week. Normal business hours are 9:00am-6:00pm.
- The program runs during the spring and fall semesters. Application dates for resume submissions are rolling.
Company Description:
Beckon Entertainment is a full service entertainment agency offering all inclusive or custom marketing & advertisement services, production services, sponsorship acquisition, and brand management for festivals, tours, concert promoters, record labels, artist managers, signed artists and/or independent artists. We also provide artist management services for our small roster of artists.

Performance Tasks:
The intern will assist in various departments within the company: Marketing, Artist Management, Sponsorships, Press & Media and Event Production. They will be given various small projects in each department to get an overall understanding of several sides of the music business. Daily tasks could include: research, Excel file creation, organization, office tasks (answer phones, getting mail & making copies), and working on various pieces of client projects with supervision.
Internship Outcomes:
At the end of the internship the intern will have an overview of what Beckon Entertainment’s roll is in the music business and how our various departments work together to service our entertainment clients. You will have the opportunity to participate and shadow in the following areas: Sponsorships, Event Marketing, Promotions, Artist Management & Event Production.
