HONEYLAND
The inaugural Honeyland Festival, held in Houston, Texas, in 2023, was a resounding success, immersing attendees in a vibrant celebration of Black expression. Over two days, renowned chefs, beverage experts, and artists converged, fusing their talents to create an unforgettable experience.
The festival offered two main stages: music and food. Four dynamic stages pulsated with live performances by legendary artists like Mary J. Blige, Miguel, Jazmine Sullivan, Scarface, Slim Thug, and Paul Wall, while up-and-coming talents like Tess, Tobe Nwigwe, and Lucky Dave showcased their skills.
Beyond the music, foodies delighted in mouthwatering dishes and specialty cocktails featuring the culinary artistry of minority-owned businesses. The Culinary Stage provided further inspiration, hosting cooking demonstrations and insightful panels led by esteemed figures like Marcus Samuelsson and Fawn Weaver.
Honeyland's impact extended beyond entertainment. By highlighting diverse talent and supporting minority-owned businesses, the festival served as a powerful platform for cultural celebration and economic empowerment.
